("Asteriqx", "we", "our") as professional reference materials and implementation templates. They are intended to assist qualified professionals in regulated industries.

The Documents do not constitute legal advice, regulatory advice, financial advice, or any other form of professional advice regulated under Malaysian law or any other jurisdiction. Asteriqx is not a law firm and does not provide legal services. Nothing in any Document should be construed as creating a solicitor-client, advisor-client, or fiduciary relationship between Asteriqx and the purchaser or any third party.

Organisations should engage qualified legal counsel, compliance officers, and regulatory specialists before implementing any framework, policy, or procedure derived from AXIOM Documents.

2. Accuracy and Currency of Information

Asteriqx makes reasonable efforts to ensure that Documents are accurate, current, and aligned with applicable regulatory standards at the time of publication. However, regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices evolve continuously. Asteriqx does not warrant that any Document is complete, accurate, or current at the time of your use.

In particular:

  • Regulatory frameworks (e.g., Bank Negara Malaysia guidelines, Basel III/IV, IFRS 9, MAS TRM) are subject to amendment without notice.
  • Technology platforms (e.g., Databricks, Azure, AWS, Finastra) release updates that may affect the applicability of architecture blueprints.
  • Document version dates are indicated on the cover page. Purchasers are responsible for verifying currency against the latest regulatory publications.

Asteriqx accepts no liability for decisions made in reliance on Documents that have become outdated after the date of purchase.

3. Intellectual Property and Licence

All Documents are the exclusive intellectual property of Asteriqx Consulting Sdn. Bhd. and are protected under the Copyright Act 1987 (Malaysia) and applicable international copyright treaties.

Upon completing a purchase, Asteriqx grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, single-organisation licence to:

  • Download and retain one (1) copy of the Document for internal use within your organisation.

  • Share the Document internally with employees and contractors working on the relevant project.

You are expressly prohibited from:

  • Reselling, sublicensing, or distributing the Document to any third party.

Breach of these licence terms will result in immediate termination of access and may result in legal action under Malaysian and international copyright law.

4. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Asteriqx Consulting Sdn. Bhd. and its directors, employees, consultants, and agents shall not be liable for any:

  • Direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of or reliance on any Document.
  • Regulatory penalties, fines, or sanctions resulting from the implementation of any framework or policy derived from a Document.
  • Business losses, lost profits, or reputational harm arising from decisions made in reliance on Document content.
  • Technical failures, data loss, or system incompatibilities arising from implementing architecture blueprints or technical specifications.

In jurisdictions where the exclusion of implied warranties or limitation of liability is not permitted, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. In all cases, Asteriqx's total aggregate liability to any purchaser shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific Document giving rise to the claim.

5. Regulatory Submissions

Documents labelled as "Regulatory-Ready" or "Regulatory Pack" are designed to align with the structure and content expectations of Malaysian and regional regulators. However:

  • No Document constitutes a pre-approved regulatory submission. All submissions to regulators (Bank Negara Malaysia, Securities Commission, etc.) must be reviewed and endorsed by your organisation's compliance and legal teams.
  • Regulatory requirements vary by institution type, licence category, and jurisdiction. Asteriqx does not guarantee that any Document satisfies the specific requirements applicable to your organisation.
  • Asteriqx is not responsible for regulatory outcomes, including approvals, rejections, or enforcement actions, arising from submissions that incorporate AXIOM Documents.

6. Customisation Engagements

If you engage Asteriqx for a document customisation service through the AXIOM platform, the resulting customised deliverable is subject to a separate Statement of Work (SOW) and engagement letter. The customised deliverable remains the intellectual property of Asteriqx until full payment is received, at which point ownership transfers to the client as specified in the SOW.

Standard AXIOM Documents purchased from the repository are not covered by any customisation warranty. If a standard Document does not meet your requirements, please contact [email protected] to discuss a customisation engagement.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms and all matters relating to the purchase, download, and use of AXIOM Documents are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute arising in connection with these terms or any Document shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

If you are accessing AXIOM from outside Malaysia, you are responsible for ensuring that your use of the platform and its Documents complies with the laws of your jurisdiction. Asteriqx makes no representation that the Documents are appropriate or lawful for use in jurisdictions outside Malaysia.

8. Cryptocurrency and Alternative Payment Terms

AXIOM accepts Bitcoin (BTC) and other alternative payment methods (bank transfer, DuitNow QR) as a convenience to users. The following terms apply to all non-card payments:

  • Cryptocurrency volatility: Asteriqx is not responsible for exchange rate fluctuations between the time of invoice and the time of payment. The purchaser bears all currency conversion risk. If the BTC amount received is less than the USD invoice value (due to rate movement), Asteriqx reserves the right to request a top-up payment before granting access.
  • Irreversibility: Cryptocurrency transactions are irreversible. Asteriqx cannot reverse or refund payments made in BTC. In the event of an overpayment or erroneous payment, Asteriqx will apply the excess as credit to the purchaser's account.
  • Confirmation requirement: Document access is granted only after a minimum of 2 blockchain confirmations. Asteriqx is not responsible for delays caused by network congestion or low transaction fees.
  • Wrong network / wrong coin: Asteriqx accepts BTC on the Bitcoin mainnet only. Payments sent to the wrong address, on the wrong network (e.g., BSC, ETH), or in a different cryptocurrency will not be recoverable. Asteriqx bears no liability for such losses.
  • Bank transfers: For Maybank and DuitNow payments, access is granted after manual verification by Asteriqx staff, typically within 1–2 business days. Asteriqx is not responsible for delays caused by bank processing times or incorrect payment references.
  • Tax compliance: Purchasers are solely responsible for any tax obligations arising from cryptocurrency transactions in their jurisdiction, including capital gains tax, GST/VAT, or digital services tax.

Asteriqx reserves the right to discontinue any alternative payment method at any time without notice.
